In the afternoon of this Wednesday, July 13, there was a confrontation between the Metropolitan Police and alleged criminals in Carrera 109 with Calle 44, in the south of Cali.
According to the authorities, the shooting that occurred in the Bochalema sector apparently occurred due to the attempted kidnapping of a lawyer.
“Thanks to a citizen complaint, in which it was stated that a person had been forced into a taxi, our units managed to intercept the vehicle, where after an exchange of fire, 4 people were captured and released. of this person,” said Colonel William Quintero Salazar, commander of the Cali Metropolitan Police.

In the middle of the exchange of shots, one of the alleged criminals was injured, who was taken to a health center to be treated.
It is worth mentioning that in the operation a taxi-type vehicle, a firearm and a traumatic weapon were seized.
Likewise, it is important to highlight that those captured are being prosecuted for the crime of kidnapping.
