“You’re ruining it for everyone”: Kid Cudi has bottles thrown at him and storms off the stage
The 38-year-old stopped a concert following just four songs on Friday night. Rapper Kanye West’s cancellation of the headliner is said to be to blame for the audience’s displeasure.
Kid Cudi (38) is the big headliner on the program of the Rolling Loud Festival, which takes place this weekend in Miami. However, the American rapper only stayed on stage for a short time during his concert: following only playing four songs, Kid Cudi stormed off the stage on Friday evening (local time). This following he was booed by the audience and pelted with bottles.
Several viral videos are circulating on social media showing Kid Cudi being hit in the head by a bottle, among other things. A fan from the front rows threw her onto the stage during the song “REVOFEV”. The recording does not show whether the musician is injured. However, his anger is evident when he calls into the microphone: “I will leave this stage if you throw another object. I’ll go, I’ll go straight.”
With the music playing in the background, Kid Cudi makes it clear that he’s serious. “I’m not joking, you’re ruining it for everyone. I’ll fucking go if I get hit by a fucking object once more,” he says in the video. Then you can clearly see in the recording how another bottle flies – and Kid Cudi immediately leaves the stage.
Kanye as a surprise guest
Where did the audience’s rejection come from? Users on social media assume that the troublemakers at the concert were fans of Kanye “Ye” West (45). He was replaced in the line-up by Kid Cudi following he canceled his performance just days before the Rolling Loud Festival. Explosive: According to US media, the two rappers should not have a good relationship with each other. Earlier this year Ye reproached his professional colleaguefor letting him down when he publicly fell out with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, 41, and her new partner Pete Davidson, 28.
In the end, the displeasure of Kanye West’s fans was largely in vain anyway: during the performance of rapper Lil Durk (29), Ye was surprisingly still on stage at the festival, albeit only as a guest. Ye performed two songs with him. Kid Cudi has not yet publicly commented on the incident during his concert.
