(clears throat, back to a more serious tone) The fact is, this is no laughing matter. Four people were injured, including a couple in their 70s and two women who suffered acute stress reactions. It’s a miracle no one was killed. As we sit here, thousands of miles away, it’s easy to get desensitized to these kinds of reports. But let’s not forget, these are real people, with real families, going about their daily lives only to have it disrupted by senseless violence.
If you’re feeling like me, you’re probably wondering what the point of all this is. Is it just a never-ending cycle of violence and retaliation? Can’t we all just get along? (sighs) I guess that’s a question for the politicians and world leaders to figure out. In the meantime, let’s just hope that someday soon, the only news we’ll be reading about is the Molniya-1 UAV being retired to a museum, a relic of a war that’s long since passed.
