The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, in cooperation with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation in the Kingdom of Bahrain, organized the 11th mass wedding ceremony in the Kingdom, which included 1,200 young men and women, and was held in Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall, at the University of Bahrain in Sakhir.
The ceremony, which is the largest in the Kingdom of Bahrain, was attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Manama, the Director General of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, Mohammed Haji Al Khoury, and the Secretary General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed.
Muhammad Haji Al-Khoury affirmed that the collective marriage ceremony expresses the strength of the fraternal bonds that unite the two brotherly countries, their leaders and their peoples, pointing to the endeavor to increase these good initiatives that concern social cohesion.
He said, “The Foundation, under the directives of our wise leadership, increases its interest in this humanitarian-social initiative year following year, and we are pleased at the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works to continue to support young people in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain who are regarding to get married, through the collective wedding initiative, which It is part of the culture of benevolence and giving, as today 1,200 bride and groom bled, bringing the total number of beneficiaries from this initiative to 8,126.
He added, “11 years have passed since this blessed annual meeting, and we pray to God Almighty that goodness and cooperation between the two brotherly countries will continue for many years to come, so that we can be together, hand in hand, to sow goodness and stability in our dear countries.”
For his part, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed said that the organization of the ceremony, with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works in the UAE, is the best evidence of the strength of the historical fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly UAE, the leadership, government and people.
