« The tragic events that occurred on Tuesday in the commune of Ngor claimed several victims whose only wrong was to claim a right. I strongly condemn the excessive use of force once morest populations and the restriction of freedoms erected into a mode of governance.
I bring all my solidarity to the victims, their families and the local authorities of the commune and demand that all light be shed on these incidents. I call for restraint and respect for the rights of citizens and remind the authorities that violence has never been the answer to a dispute. »
