Al-Marsad Newspaper: Emirati businessman Khalaf Al Habtoor called for introducing a unified Gulf currency, with the participation of Egypt and Jordan, to confront the dollar crisis.

Al Habtoor said, during an intervention on Sada Al-Balad channel, that a proposal was submitted to issue a unified Gulf currency between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Egypt and Jordan, to get out of the burden of economic pressures resulting from the dollar.

He continued that decision-making and working in its implementation help the success of the matter, pointing out that the issuance of a unified Arab currency helps to strengthen economies, and there is strong cooperation between UAE leaders and businessmen.

And he added that the decision must be made prior to scientific and economic studies before abandoning the dollar currency, stressing that pressure in dollars and interest affects any economy in the world.
