Books – Abdel Fattah Al-Ajmi:
Director Khairy Bishara was a guest on the program “With You, Mona El-Shazly”, presented by the media, Mona El-Shazly, on CBC, to talk regarding his artistic career and many situations in his personal and professional life.
Bishara spoke regarding his new experience in writing fiction, explaining that his first novel to be published entitled “Chinese Pride” deals with real events inspired by real people and events in China and Egypt, in addition to addressing some other external echoes.
He added that his writings are always interested in research and study, and this novel made him read a lot regarding the history, geography, customs, and traditions of China, noting that he thought of turning it into a movie, but the cost would be very huge, explaining that it took 4 years to write it, and he is now working on writing another novel.
On the other hand, Khairy Bishara spoke regarding his disagreement with director Ali Badrakhan over the films “Wild Desire” and “The Shepherd and Women”, which were taken from the same story and were shown in the same year, which some considered at the time “jealousy of directors”, explaining that the story was taken from An Italian play, “A Crime on Goat Island,” and the original project was for Ali Badrakhan, saying: “This project is basically Ali Badrakhan’s project, and then I write for him a script from Professor Waheed Hamed, but Ali is excited regarding the scenario and he had another imagination. Hussein Al-Qalla, the producer, goes to try another writing with another producer, Mamdouh Youssef.
He continued: “Hussain Al-Qalla is the buyer of the film and he has a script that he wants to make.. Me, Muhammad Khan and Daoud Abdel Sayed tried to convince Ali Badrakhan to make the film, but he refused. In it, you will lose me, and when I have a movie that will win me over, you don’t want to make it! So I decided to make it…but Ali Badrakhan was, of course, upset with me.”
Khairy Bishara added that the dispute did not continue, because their relationship is stronger and deeper than the dispute because of a job or a situation, saying: “I have to pay… I and Daoud Abdel Sayed graduated at once… There was upset between us at the time, but without a rupture and we reconciled because our love for each other is not normal.” .
With regard to his personal life, Bishara explained that he does not care regarding money, and does not understand the idea of its importance, saying: “My sense of money is so weak that I put it in the movie (Wild Desire), why is money important? .. I’m basically not convinced of the idea of money, I mean, I’m never convinced. Someone gave me money and succeeded, that he seduced me, but on the contrary, I enjoy more that people who want to owe me money by torturing it, my composition is a little hostile to property, but thank God, my children are not like that, they began to be careful and caution is a duty. ”
He continued: “My wife is upset with me because I don’t care if he stays in cemeteries, I told her to bury anywhere, anywhere with anyone… I see that there is rain in the horrific amounts that are paid in cemeteries… something annoying.”
