Reliever Keynan Middleton was happy following striking out Carlos Correa in the most recent game between the Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins, stating that he was pleased to beat a “cheater.” For his part, the Puerto Rican avoided getting into discussions and he even congratulated his rival on the great moment he is experiencing in the MLB.
“I’ve heard worse things. I’m happy that he’s in good shape and can continue playing well to take care of his family. He’s improving and that’s why he’s pitching in important situations for them,” Correa said in words for the press reporters who cover the Twins.
Carlos Correa took the high road in response to a postgame dig regarding his former team’s sign-stealing scandal.

It should be remembered that the Puerto Rican was part of the Houston Astros that won the 2017 World Series by stealing signals from rival pitchers. This led the MLB to sanction the organization, but it did not withdraw the title or penalize any of the players who were part of the champion roster.
After leaving the Texas team in 2021, Correa joined the Twins, a team with which he has just renewed in the winter for $200 million for six years, being one of its top offensive references. So far this season, the 28-year-old has a .206 batting average with 12 RBIs and three home runs.
