The Beijing Games are coming to an end. On the program of this penultimate Olympic day, many Tricolores in the running.
• The day started with the halfpipe final in freestyle skiing, with a certain Kevin Rolland. Tenth in qualifying, the French flag bearer, bronze medalist in Sochi, finally finished in a nice 6th place in Zhangjiakou.
• French alpine skiing will have to wait to win a fourth medal. The mixed team event, composed of Tessa Worley, Coralie Frasse-Sombet, Mathieu Faivre and Alexis Pinturault, has indeed been postponed to Sunday 9 a.m. (2 a.m. in France).
• The 50 km free style disrupted by the weather. Due to the difficult weather conditions, the race originally scheduled for 7 a.m. in France was postponed to 8 a.m. and the distance shortened to 30 kilometers to expose the athletes to the cold for less time. France fields a team composed of Adrien Backscheider, Jules Lapierre and relay bronze medalists Maurice Manificat and Clément Parisse.
