Tensions flared after a recent SSL match between Kalmarsund and Pixbo, with Kalmarsund’s Kevin Haglund accusing Pixbo captain Oskar Weissbach of taunting him about a past World Cup disappointment.
Haglund, who played alongside Weissbach on the Swedish national team at the World Cup just weeks ago, claimed the Pixbo star mocked him for losing the final despite both players being on the team.
“He’s the Worst teammate I’ve Ever Played With”
“He runs around during the match and mocks that you have lost a World Cup final when you yourself were in that team.I didn’t think I would get to experience it,” Haglund stated.
when confronted with the accusations, Weissbach vehemently denied them. “Oh, those are strong jumps! I don’t really have much to answer for that. It feels very strange to say that after a win.I don’t know what the hell he’s talking about. That’s up to him,” Weissbach retorted.
weissbach insisted he would never taunt a teammate, especially given their shared experience at the World Cup. “no. I was on the team, so why would I mock?” he said.
The Pixbo captain expressed disappointment with Haglund’s public accusations, labeling them “completely absurd” and “sad” due to their airing in the media.
weissbach maintained that he hadn’t spoken to Haglund during the match and found his post-game behavior disrespectful, claiming Haglund shouted and mocked the Pixbo team.
Kalmarsund emerged victorious in the match, securing a 5-4 win and moving up to seventh place in the SSL standings.Pixbo remained in second place.
