Franck Kessié has arrived in Barcelona. The opportunity for him to explain his choice.
The Ivorian will be presented as a FC Barcelona player tomorrow and has already posed for the camera in official club attire. He will sign until the summer of 2026 tomorrow with a €500m release clause included.
“It’s a great opportunity,” Kessié said as Mundo Deportivo report. “I really want to start and do my best for this team. When a great coach like Xavi [Hernandez] calls you, he who was a great player, you see that all your efforts are worth it. I can’t wait to start working with him and my teammates.”

The player joins Barcelona from Milan, who he has just led to his first Scudetto in over a decade. He will be presented tomorrow before noon at the Ciutat Esportiva, then he will take up the pen in the office of the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta. A press conference will then take place.
Last season, FC Barcelona finished second in La Liga, 13 points behind Real Madrid. He didn’t win any trophies either. This is unacceptable for a club of this stature and Xavi has been tasked with closing that gap in 2022/23. Signing a player of Kessié’s caliber and strengthening the midfield is a good start.
