Aluva female chess player Dr. Nimmi A. George was awarded the Women’s International Master (WIM). This is the first time that a woman from Kerala has received WIM. This Kerala star has represented India in many international competitions. Represented the country in the World Amateur Women’s Chess Competition held in Greece in 2021 and won a silver medal.
