Thiruvananthapuram: Actor Alencier made a controversial remark at the state film award ceremony. Alencier’s controversial speech came when he came to collect the Special Jury Mention Award at the 2022 State Film Awards. Don’t be tempted by the sculpture of a woman. Alencier’s reference was to give a gilded statue.

“The award had a good weight and the Special Jury Award was given. Don’t insult me and Kunchako Boban with Rs 25,000. Paisa kuttitaranam, please. The special jury should be given a gold plated statue. Don’t be tempted by a female statue. There should be a male sculpture where the chief minister sits. If you can say that, then the acting will stop.” Alencier said at the event. Meanwhile, Alencier’s statement is causing outrage on social media.

The 2022 State Film Awards ceremony was organized at Nishagandhi Auditorium, Thiruvananthapuram. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan distributed the award.
