Thiruvananthapuram: Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in isolated places in the state today. It is reported that there will be heavy rain with thunder in the afternoon.
Rain warning has been issued in two districts today in view of heavy rain. Yellow alert has been declared for Wayanad and Kozhikode today.
The Meteorological Department has also informed that there is a possibility of high waves on the Kerala coast. A low pressure area is present from Maldives to Maharashtra coast.
A cyclone will also form in the Andaman Sea by tomorrow. Later it will turn into an extreme low pressure.
Meanwhile, no rain warning has been announced in any district in the coming days. But on November 26 and 27, there is a chance of rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in Kerala, the Central Meteorological Department said.
