Kerala has become a morally broken state: PS Sreedharan Pillai – PS Sreedharan Pillai | Manorama News | Goa

Goa: Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai has said that Kerala has become the most morally broken state in the country. Sreedharan Pillai told Manorama News that most crimes and political murders are taking place in Kerala and the cultural workers here are not ready to talk regarding them. He added that their silence was an example of opportunism and that a study should be done on moral decay.

Crime is increasing in the state. Kerala is a state where 444 out of 1 lakh people are accused of heinous crimes. Isn’t Kerala one of the two or three states where people are killed for political activity? The question arises as to where Kerala is headed. India cannot point to a single instance of human sacrifice that finally took place. There are no such conscienceless people anywhere else. It is in this situation that the morality of the state is said to be collapsing. There is no point in blaming each other politically. No literary or cultural heroes are ready to open their mouths regarding this. When a girl was tragically killed in Uttar Pradesh, how silent were the writers who went on Shayana Pradakshina? Sreedharan Pillai said that the reason is that opportunism and selfishness make the Malayalees arrogant, self-conscious, and conscience-stealers.
