Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan leaves for treatment in the US | Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan returns to US

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has returned to the United States. The flight was from Thiruvananthapuram at 4.30 am yesterday. CM continues treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

The Chief Minister is likely to return to the state in the second week of May. No one else has been given temporary assignment. Attend cabinet meetings online. The CM is accompanied by his wife Kamala and personal assistant VM Suneesh.

Earlier in January, the Chief Minister went to the United States for medical treatment. He remained in the United States from January 11 to 27. Prior to this, Pinarayi Vijayan had gone to the US in 2018 for treatment. Even then, he was in charge of the administration.

After the return of the Chief Minister, CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will also go to the United States. Kodiyeri was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2020 at Houston Plaza Medical Center.
