Mumbai: Kerala Blasters will face Mumbai City today in Indian Super League football. The match will be played at the Mumbai Football Arena.

Mumbai City are second with 30 points from 12 games and Blasters are third with 25 points. Blasters coach Ivan Vukumanovic and his students are trying to finish in the top three. A defeat at Mumbai’s home ground will set back their momentum.

Blasters lost the first match of the ninth season against Mumbai City. Ivan Vukumanović announced that he will answer the defeat at home in another country. When the first match took place, it was the beginning of the season and the team was just coming together. Currently they are performing well together. “There is a lot of clarity about his team,” Evan continued. Right back Sandeep Singh will not play today. Sandeep Singh was shown a yellow card in the match against Jamshedpur.

It was the star’s fourth card of the season. With that, Sandeep got a suspension from today’s match. Kharmanjyot Khabra will replace Sandeep in the starting XI. The Blasters coach said that he is not worried about Sandeep’s absence. Evan said that there are a handful of other players who excel.

Ivan Kaliushny, who was out due to suspension in the last match, will return to the starting eleven. Mumbai City has the upper hand in head-to-head encounters. They have won 7 out of 17 matches played so far. Blasters have four wins and six draws to show for it. Mumbai have also won three of the last five matches. Blasters won both matches. Last October 28, Mumbai beat Blasters 2-0 in the match held in Kochi. Mehtab Singh and Yorge Perera scored that day.

Mumbai City coach Desmond Buckingham has claimed that his side are on course for the title and will beat Blasters. Blasters’ best performance against Mumbai City was a 3-0 win at the Fatorda Stadium on 19 December 2021.
