Kochi: After three consecutive wins, Kerala Blasters drew with Chennaiyin FC. Kerala came back following coming from behind. Both teams scored 3 goals each.
While Chennaiyin led 3-2 in the first half, Blasters scored only one goal to equalize in the second half. Blasters’ Diamantakos and Chennai’s Jordan Murray scored a brace. One goal of both of them was through penalty.
Chennaiyin shocked the hosts in the very first minute of the match in Kochi. Rahim Ali scored. Rahim Ali was tasked with fooling the Blasters defense and tapping in Rafael Crivalaro’s free kick. But in the 11th minute, Blasters scored a penalty kick. Diamantakos put the ball into the net.

Chennaiyin regained the lead (2-1) through a penalty before two minutes. Jordan Murray took the penalty kick. In the 24th minute, Jordan Murray fired once more at the Blasters post and increased Chennaiyin’s lead to two (3-1).
In the 34th minute, Blasters hit back with one more goal. Kwami Pepra scored the breakthrough goal from Adrian Luna’s pass. In the 59th minute, Blasters managed to score an equalizing goal. Diamantakos’ left footed shot from outside the box hit the right corner of the post.
With the result of today’s match, Blasters have topped the table with 17 points from eight games.
