LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky Derby winner Mage will enter the 148th running of the Preakness following an encouraging workout at Churchill Downs, the co-owner announced.

Mage jogged the mile and a half brisk walk with exercise jockey JJ Delgado on a cloudy morning Friday. Triple Crown at Pimlico in Baltimore.

“He had a great week of training,” said Restrepo, who co-owns with Chase Chamberlain, co-founder and race director of CMNWLTH. “(Coach) Gustavo Delgado (Jr.) was happy, over the moon, with how he has recovered.”

Mage is coming off a one length win over Two Phil’s in the Derby. He is a descendant of Good Magic and Puca, winner of the 2008 Derby; and Big Brown, winner of the Preakness.
