Kensington: it’s the Orbit in Dudule

Repack your mice and touchscreens. The best pointing device, the trackball, is still improving. Kensington presents a new version of the famous Orbitwho trades his blue ball for a red ball, and his wire for a radio transmitter.

The Orbit Wireless Trackball is also available in white with a gray ball. Picture Kensington.

While Logitech prefers trackballs mouse-shaped, with a ball placed under the thumb, Kensington favors symmetrical models, with a ball placed under the fingers. the trackball Orbit takes up this ambidextrous layout: two buttons frame the scroll wheel, which surrounds the removable ball of 40 mm in diameter.

the trackball connects with a 2.4 GHz radio receiver in USB-A format, or in Bluetooth 5.0. Kensington says nothing about autonomy. The app KensingtonWorks is not essential, but allows you to adjust the cursor movement speed (400, 800, 1200 or 1600 dpi), and to assign functions to the buttons.

The trackball comes with a built-in wrist rest. Picture Kensington.

the trackball Wireless Orbit is available in black with a red ball or white with a gray ball. The black version with a gray ball presented to the press does not appear to be available. The wired version remains sold around 55 €i.e. €15 less than the wireless version.
