Kemenpora Ready to Coordinate with Programs for the Advancement of Indonesian Youth and Sports

MINISTER of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo, on Friday (4/10), received the youngest Deputy Chair of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly Abcandra Muhammad Akbar Supratman, along with young senators from the Indonesian DPD in his office on the 10th floor, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Senayan, Jakarta.

Dito admitted that he was grateful to see that young senators in both the MPR RI and DPD RI were planning to collaborate to support the progress of youth and sports in Indonesia. “Thank God, I am happy to see our younger brothers succeed in becoming young senators in both the DPD and MPR RI, like Mas Akbar who is still 26 years old and can become the youngest Deputy Chair of the MPR RI,” said Dito in his statement, Friday (4/10).

“As Menpora, I am very proud to see the achievements of young people who have been successfully selected by the community from each region. Of course, we are the ministry that houses young people who are enthusiastic and ready to welcome this collaboration,” added Dito.

Menpora Dito also said that he would be ready to work together to support programs in the DPD or MPR RI.

“We will be enthusiastic about providing support such as the 4 pillars of nationality program for young people, and we will also encourage how these young people can give a new color to the MPR RI. Hopefully this meeting will become a new paradigm and a new atmosphere for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the DPD RI and the MPR RI ,” he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI Abcandra Akbar said that the meeting with Menpora Dito was part of a cross-generational collaboration to support activities in the MPR RI and DPD RI in the fields of youth and sports.

“Thank God, my fellow young senators and I came to attend the invitation from Menpora Dito in the context of cross-generational collaboration. And in the future, hopefully we can synergize in carrying out youth programs in both the MPR and DPD with the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” said Akbar. (S-1)
