This can be seen in the comment columns about the latest edition of the Kelly Clarkson Show, where presenter Kenan Thompson (45) sat down on the sofa with the singer. Together they talked about their shower routines, which are also mentioned in his book.
Kelly Clarkson (41) says bluntly that she often brushes her teeth in the shower. “I don’t do this regularly, only when I’m in a hurry. In fact, I’m often in a hurry,” she says. Thompson openly states that he finds it “disgusting” and doesn’t leave it at that. “There’s another place where I say to wash your legs completely, so don’t just leave your ankles out.” Clarkson doesn’t understand the excitement: “But if I soap up here, everything will wash away anyway.”

Then the singer broaches a topic that almost everyone has talked about or at least thought about: “Do you pee in the shower?” she asks her talk show guest. Thompson says he would be lying if he said he never did it. “But when I do it, I’m ashamed of it.”
Kelly makes no secret of the fact that she pees almost every time she showers. “I then feel very productive, I brush my teeth, shower and pee, all at the same time. I’m always in a hurry because I want to stay in bed as long as possible.” The whole procedure should only take her seven minutes, then she’ll be ready, as Clarkson explains.

For some, the American Idol winner’s shower manners are understandable, for others they are rather outrageous. “Both are disgusting,” says a comment on YouTube, meaning both peeing and brushing your teeth. “Dead skin cells don’t just wash away, you have to scrub, Kelly,” writes another user on Instagram. And a third comment reads: “Some things are better not said out loud.”
However, many people probably recognize themselves in the routine and celebrate the presenter for her honesty: “Oh Kelly, you unfiltered queen. I love you so much,” it says in the video from the “Kelly Clarkson Show” and: “So honest! For me, she is the most likeable talk show host there is.”
This isn’t the first time Clarkson has opened up about her shower habits. Back in 2009, she confessed in an interview that she always pees in the shower in the morning and doesn’t find anything wrong with it. “Anyone who says they’ve never done this is lying.”
