KEEN has released “KNX LACE,” a sneaker with a European design that is packable and easy to carry, and is as comfortable to wear as bare feet. The price is 16,500 yen.

A thin sole with a heel-to-toe drop of 4mm is used so as not to impede the natural movement of the foot. It is said that even when wearing shoes, the condition of the feet remains similar to that of bare feet, resulting in natural foot movements as if walking barefoot.
The upper and sole unit are directly crimped using a unique KEEN.FUSION structure that does not use adhesives or solvents. It is designed to minimize the environmental impact during the manufacturing process.
The shoelaces are elastic, so there is no need to tie the shoelaces. In addition, the thin sole makes them packable, and they are also lightweight at 291g (27cm for one foot) for men and 235g (24cm for one foot) for women, making them easy to carry as second shoes for travel.
Available in three colors: Black/Star White, Tortoise Shell/Plaza Taupe, and Star White/Star White. Sizes range from 25 to 29 cm for men and 22.5 to 25.5 cm for women. Only men’s Black/Star White will be released on February 28th.
