It was a closely scrutinized meeting: Kings – OKC. A gala SGA, a Sabonis in triple-double, a Keegan Murray in record mode, but above all Sacramento which never stops winning. In short, the Golden 1 Center had a blast.
Two (very) surprising teams this season. The Thunder, on the verge of Play-in and in search of victory to join the top 10. The Kings, in full swing this season and who remain on five consecutive victories (you didn’t have to shake your chin to write that one) . Their clash did not disappoint and some took the opportunity to show off.
This is the case of Keegan Murray, who simply left his career best game : 29 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist, and an omnipresence in attack as in defense. Murray was incredibly efficient: 10/12 shooting including 5/7 long distance. As strong inside as outside, the number 4 of the last Draft was phenomenal and showed serenity and domination, like his season and that of his team. The strong winger puts out a performance worthy of his status, which makes him a potentially credible contender for Rookie of the Year (no).

Behind him, Domantas Sabonis landed a massive triple-double : 18 points, 13 rebounds, 14 assists and De’Aaron Fox, still as clutch, finished him at 25 points. A real Big Three that is running flat out and allowing Sacramento to continue its incredible momentum. That’s 6 wins in a row, the Kings remain on the podium in the West.
Opposite, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander does the job for nothing: 37 points and 7 assists for the Canadian who did everything to keep OKC in the game. Isiah Joe, who finished at 21 points and 6 points, also showed great things, but that was not enough as Sacramento was solid.
A super pleasant match in Sac Town, a suspenseful end to the match and a career record: the Californian public enjoyed themselves. For the Kings, it’s a great victory obtained once morest an opponent who was not easy to beat. For the Thunder, it’s a setback. The Oklahoma franchise is still in the nails.
