The German head coach has decided to resign as he feels that the energy is starting to wane.
Liverpool have missed out on their first choice in the hunt for a new manager, which was Xabi Alonso.
The Spaniard has decided to stay at Bayer Leverkusen and thus also nods Bayern Munich.
Now Roberto De Zerbi, 44, says he is one of the favorites to replace Klopp at Liverpool.
Some argue that De Zerbi’s fiery personality would not fit in. Roy Keane thinks the opposite.
– I think it’s probably a big plus for him, says the Manchester United icon according to the Daily Mail and continues:
– You know, sometimes when you have a manager at a club you hope that he commits to the club and that he has asked his questions and I suppose there is a bit of honesty there. He is unsure of his future, which has worried Brighton.
However, Keane does not feel that De Zerbi is ready for a club like Liverpool.
– I have my doubts, he says and elaborates:
– It seems to be his team’s trademark to play nice football. But I still doubt what he has won to get that job.
