Berlin. The National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) sees no need to reintroduce mask and distance requirements, even with an increasing number of corona infections in autumn and winter.
Risk groups such as previously ill or older people might and should, if necessary, protect themselves from infection with the virus with a vaccination or by wearing protective masks, said the deputy chairman of the board of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV), Dr. Stephan Hofmeister, the Doctors Newspaper. “For others, it is important to be considerate – for example when visiting nursing homes and hospitals,” says Hofmeister. “But I think it is impossible that we will fundamentally need restrictive measures or masks once more.” (hom)
