Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organizing, Ministry of Religion, Hilman Latief emphasized that the Hajj and Umrah Guidance Group (KBIHU) is the government’s strategic partner in developing Hajj pilgrims, especially the elderly. This partnership must be actualized in the form of a KBIHU service commitment that is in line with government policy.

This message was emphasized by the Director General of PHU when signing the KBIHU service commitment. The signing of the commitment took place in the Meeting Hall of the Directorate General of PHU, Ministry of Religion, Jakarta.

There are eight KBIHU service commitments available, namely supporting the Elderly Friendly Hajj policy, performing rituals that emphasize comfort, validity and convenience (rukhsah) for elderly Hajj pilgrims, assisting and facilitating the implementation of the elderly Hajj pilgrimage, eliminating activities that cause fatigue and worsen health conditions. elderly Hajj pilgrims, instilling awareness of the importance of having a caring and empathetic nature towards elderly Hajj pilgrims, as well as supporting the standardization policy for management of Hajj Dam animals.

“As a strategic partner of the Ministry of Religion, KBIHU must support the policy of organizing the elderly-friendly Hajj,” said Hilman as quoted from an official statement, Tuesday (30/4).

“KBIHU must also have a data base of the congregation it guides, initiate various innovations in guidance services, and increase institutional professionalism,” he continued.

The KBIHU Service Commitment was read and signed by the Deputy General Chairperson of the KBIHU Communication Forum DPP KH. Sunidja. As witnesses, the Director General of PHU Hilman Latief and the Director of Bina Haji Arsad Hidayat.

At the same time, the commitment was also signed by representatives of the FK KBIHU Regional Management Board in all Provincial Ministry of Religion Regional Offices online.

Also watching at the head office of the Ministry of Religion, Head of Congregation Guidance Sub-Directorate Khalilurrahman, administrators of the DPP FK KBIHU, DPW FK KBIHU for the Provinces of DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java, Head of the PHU KBIHU Division for the Provinces of DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java, and Chair of the DPC FK KBIHU throughout Jabodetabek .

This activity was also attended online by all Heads of PHU Divisions at Provincial Regional Offices and administrators of the Regional Leadership Council of the KBIHU Communication Forum for Provinces throughout Indonesia.

Director of Bina Haji Arsad Hidayat in his report said, this year there are 685 quotas for worship guides spread across 30 provinces that have KBIHU. Until the settlement closed, as many as 503 worship guides paid the Hajj expenses.

However, one person died. So, the worship leaders who will depart as companions for the KBIHU pilgrims amount to 502 people. This number consists of 382 male hajj guides and 120 female hajj guides.

“Currently there are 1,636 KBIHUs recorded, consisting of 1,576 KBIHUs with collective decrees based on KMA 811 of 2020, as well as the addition of 60 new KBIHUs,” said Arsad.
