Kazunori Yamauchi change totalement son discours

Will Gran Turismo 7 really be released on PC? This is a question that we can legitimately ask ourselves following the very recent intervention of Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the car series this time for the Japanese site Dengenki Online. The latter wanted to clarify his remarks that he made at the end of last November to the GTPlanet site during the GT World Series regarding a possible PC port of his game Gran Turismo 7. According to Yamauchi-san, there is no question of considering a version other than the PS5 version at the moment, and it seems that his response was misinterpreted or mistranslated.

Denkenki Online: It seems that you have told foreign media that you are studying and developing a PC version of Gran Turismo. Is it true ?”

Kazunori Yamauchi: That’s not true either. Regarding a PC adaptation, I answered – as a developer – it’s not that I haven’t considered all the possibilities. It means that the probability of it happening is not zero, but if you simply ask me ‘are you doing anything concrete at this level’, I don’t do anything. There is no subject.

If we feel in his response that Kazunori Yamauchi is annoyed, it is probably because he does not like bad interpretations, but also because this false information comes from Western media. Still, if a PC version of Gran Turismo 7 is not in the news right now, it is not forbidden that a version is already considered in the future. We recall that the game was one of the PC titles that had been revealed during NVIDIA’s massive data leak in September 2021. No wonder the public is on the lookout for any information…
