Kazakhstan-Rwanda: President Tokayev receives Kagame’s special envoy | Nova Agency

Astana, 26 Sep 17:05 – (Nova Agency) – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Jean Paul Nyirubutama, Special Envoy of Rwandan President Paul Kagame, in Astana. This was announced by the Kazakh Presidency, according to which Tokayev took the opportunity to express satisfaction with the “positive dynamics” in interaction with African countries, and to emphasize the importance of strengthening relations with Rwanda on a number of issues of the bilateral and international agenda. In this regard, the Kazakh leader expressed appreciation for the recent signing of an agreement between the two countries on visa-free travel for diplomatic and service passports. Nyirubutama, for his part, thanked Tokayev for the “warm welcome”, noting the “significant results” achieved by Kazakhstan in recent years in the political and socio-economic fields. During the conversation, the two also discussed cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
