The Kazakhstan national football team played the final match in the qualification for Euro 2024, Vesti.kz reports.
In the tenth round of Group H, Magomed Adiev’s team met in Ljubljana with the Slovenian team.
The match ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the home team.
In the first half, despite the advantage of the home team, the Kazakhstan national team, they managed to create dangerous moments. It is worth highlighting Islam Chesnokov’s shot on target by Jan Oblak, which, however, turned out to be weak. The Atlético goalkeeper also coped with the shot of the captain of the Kazakhstan team, Abzal Beisebekov.
The score in the match was opened by the Slovenians in the 41st minute. This episode was preceded by a foul in his own penalty area by Jan Vorogovski once morest Petar Stojanovic. Polish referee Szymon Marciniak, following reviewing VAR, awarded a penalty, which was converted by Benjamin Szeszko.

Thus, the Slovenes secured a direct ticket to the European Championship. The Kazakhstan national team will compete to qualify for the continental championship next year in the playoffs of the Nations League.
