Tiger shark bites boat while kayaking for recreational fishing. It happened in Hawaii. Be it for fishing or recreation, extreme caution is required when going out to sea. An attack by sea creatures can be expected at any moment. Lack of adequate safety precautions and training can sometimes lead to loss of life. A few days ago, a person who went kayaking in Hawaii had a terrible experience. He was fishing for fun while kayaking and was bitten by a huge tiger shark in his boat.

Scott Haragushi was sea kayaking about a kilometer off the coast of Kualoa. Scott’s journey was with the camera turned on to capture pictures and footage of the fishing. Suddenly, Scott heard a sound similar to that of a motorless boat nearby. He heard a strange sound and looked around to see what it was, but at first he couldn’t find anything.

Within seconds, a little distance from the boat, something brown was seen rising to the surface of the water. At first glance, Scott thought it was a sea turtle. But with a little more elevation, the picture became clear. It was a huge tiger shark. Scott says he was also frightened by the sight of the tiger shark, one of the top predators in the sea. Before he could think of what to do, the shark sped over to Scott’s boat.

The shark that came to attack has been caught on camera jumping into the boat and biting. The direction of the boat was changed due to the strong attack. But when Scott regained consciousness, he used his legs to push the shark’s body hard and it got hold of the boat. All of this happened in seconds, says Scott. Later he continued fishing. But when he got home and checked the camera footage, even Scott realized how dangerous the scene was.

He himself has released these scenes through social media. While kayaking, Scott had also seen an injured water dog in the same area. He concluded that the shark might have mistaken the boat for its prey when it saw the boat while it was trying to catch the otter and was mature enough to attack. But the day after the incident, coastal authorities banned access to the North Beach and put up warning signs citing the sighting of a six-meter long shark. But it is not clear if the same shark that had the encounter with Scott was seen in the area.
