The start of the canoe-kayak world championships in London was marked by the French team for Angèle Hug. The member of Club Sport Ardèche opened her competition on the London Olympic grounds with her compatriots Marjorie Delassus and Lucie Prioux during the canoe team competition.
Too many penalties conceded to exist
The trio of athletes finished in eighth place in the final. They entered the competition well by taking second place despite penalties (6) but they were ultimately unable to stay in contact as the other nations passed, with the title going to Great Britain.
