“Katrin Lach: The Only Female Farmer on ‘Bauer sucht Frau International’ Finds Love on TV for the Third Time”

Katrin Lach (34) from Eberndorf has already gotten to know her applicants for the first time. With Patrick (33) from Baden-Württemberg and Marc (29) from Switzerland, she has “two very likeable men on her farm”. She selected her favorites together with Inka Bause, presenter of “Bauer sucht Frau International” on RTL. She arrived at the salmon farm with a handful of letters. The graphic designer lives there with 20 broodmares and stallions. “I also have four cats, but they can’t replace the man,” said Lach, who likes to see men in lederhosen. She herself likes to wear traditional costumes.

“A Force of Nature”

“I’ve now reached a point in my life where I’m longing for a partner and want to start a family,” says Lach, who asked specific questions as she got to know each other. So she wanted to know right away whether the two men would leave their homeland for her. She also revealed her desire to have children right at the beginning over a glass of sparkling wine in her mother’s bed and breakfast. “She’s a force of nature and she’s knocking everyone out,” Patrick said. Both he and Marc were delighted with the welcome gift. In addition to a home-made jam, a horseshoe and goat’s cheese, there was also a self-written poem as a bonus.

The first toy

But the “first tests” were not long in coming. First, the contestants had to show physical effort fetching salmon for mini Shetland ponies. Patrick had a little mishap here. “That’s not how you attack a hay bale. Then it breaks,” said Lach with a smile, which showed the two that she also has her tractor well under control.

“She already says where to go,” said Marc, who was able to score well in the “second test”. Here the men had to prove their love for cats. Each equipped with a toy, they started playing – not with Lach, but with their cats. The lost hair was removed immediately followingwards. “A man has to take me with a lint roller. I like it clean,” said Lach.

The first one-on-one interview

Patrick had his first one-on-one interview with the 34-year-old on the first morning. While cleaning the paddock, he expressed his interest to her. She pointed out to him that “he should take more initiative”. Afterwards, all three visited a goat farm run by friends of the farmer’s wife. They had enough to laugh, and when they tasted the homemade goat’s pot variations, everyone was speechless following trying Patrick’s creation. This was too spicy because he got curry instead of chili. Marc, on the other hand, met the taste of laughter. “You can move in right now,” she said with a laugh.

In the one-to-one conversation with Marc, there was already a bit of flirting. The Swiss didn’t “yet” carry the farmer’s wife on his hands, but he did chauffeur her around with the window chest. “I hope she’s as kind to men as she is to animals,” he said.

Strong men

When installing the fence, the first competition became noticeable. Both Patrick and Marc wanted to show how “manly and strong they are”. “Fortunately, nothing happened to anyone,” said Lach. Patrick, on the other hand, was a bit annoyed by Marc’s sayings. Childhood memories came up while preparing cotton candy. But Marc did a little better. Patrick was a little awkward though. “I’ll sleep on it one night and let my gut feeling decide. I do like a man who also takes the lead,” said Lach.

Angry farewell

After the threesome, Lach “separated” from an applicant. “I have to make a decision,” said Lach. In the end she decided on the Swiss Marc. “You have more fun behind it, I’m looking forward to the days together,” she said. Patrick didn’t take the decision very well. He angrily left the room. “It was tough. I just want to go home.” There was a hug to say goodbye. But he didn’t wish them a happy ending.

For the third time

The graphic designer is the only farmer in the current season of “Bauer sucht Frau International” on RTL. In addition to her, seven farmers are still looking for happiness in love. They live in Namibia, Spain, Australia, Italy, South Africa, Argentina or like Lach in Austria. The episodes are broadcast on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:15 p.m. By the way, Lach is looking for great love on TV for the third time. After two attempts at “Bauer sucht Frau” on ATV, she is now trying her luck on RTL.
