The Minister of Public Works of the Nation, Gabriel Katopodis, will be today in San Antonio Oeste, Las Grutas and Viedma. He will open the radar of the National Meteorological Service (SMN), built by Invap and which will be used to prepare “immediate alerts”.
This is the third stage of the Project of the National System of Meteorological Radars (SINARAME) and will cover a radius of 240 km, allowing the detection of storms and other alerts to cover the Atlantic area.
Katopodis will be accompanied by Governor Arabela Carreras who will participate in the event. The visiting delegation will be completed by the Minister of Justice and Human Rights of the Nation, Martín Soria; the Secretary for Relations with Civil Society and Community Development, Fernando Navarro; and the director of Water Resources Monitoring Systems, Mariana Sosa.
The national official will arrive in San Antonio Oeste around 9:30 a.m.and then he will go to Las Grutas for the official act of inauguration of the meteorological radar that is scheduled for 10.
While, Katopodis’s visit to Viedma is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.where he has scheduled a meeting with Mayor Pedro Pesatti and will also tour the works in the capital that were built with national funds.
