At least this is attested to by Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, a book written by the journalist Valentine Low, one of the experts on the monarchy of The Times newspaper, which explains how those words, apart from accounting for the beginning of the Duchess of Sussex’s weariness, did not sit very well among other royals.
In fact, the Princess of Wales and her husband, Crown Prince William, saw it, according to Low, “as a deliberate attempt to put the couple in the headlines.” All this at the expense of mental health, which further evidenced that the relationship between brothers was cracking by leaps and bounds.
