Princess Kate Middleton reappeared during the Olympic Games to leave a very special message to the athletes who participated in this competition. The Princess of Wales recently stepped out at the Wimbledon Championships and two Trooping The Colour celebrations

The British royal family did not participate like the other royal houses and were not active in these Olympics for obvious reasons. Let us remember that the wife of Lady Diana’s son was diagnosed with cancer in March of this year. For this reason, Kate has not attended public events because the doctors who treat her told her to stay away from these official events for her speedy recovery.

Also, close to the closing ceremony, the Prince and Princess of Wales posted a video on their Instagram account in which Kate and William appear thanking the athletes for their triumphs during the Olympic Games.
The Princess of Wales opted for a casual look with a long-sleeved black and white striped t-shirt and a thin gold chain. “From all of us watching from home, congratulations to Team Great Britain”said the princess radiantly.
The heir to the throne also sent a message of encouragement and congratulations for the 65 medals won by the English team – 14 gold, 22 silver and 29 bronze. “Congratulations on everything you have achieved,” said the Prince of Wales.
