On the occasion of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee which marks her 70 years of reign, the prominent members of the Royal Family are making a series of trips to the Commonwealth. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton traveled to the Caribbean. After Belize and before the Bahamas, the couple stopped in Jamaica. At a reception, Andrew Holness, the Prime Minister did not fail to mention the future of his country: “Jamaica is, as you will see, a country that is very proud of its history, very proud of what we have. And we are moving forward, and we intend to quickly achieve our development goals and realize our true ambitions of being an independent, fully developed and prosperous country.”
