Kate Hudson feels “really free” with Danny Fujikawa and is grateful that he is not self-conscious regarding sharing fame with her.
The ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ actress – who was previously married to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson and was engaged to Muse singer Matt Bellamy – has never been more “safe” in her relationship than with her current fiancé and she really appreciates the “deep trust” he has in her.
Speaking on Chelsea Handler’s podcast ‘Dear Chelsea’, Kate said: “It’s the best. I mean, it’s regarding safety, isn’t it? At the end of the day, if you have this real, real sense of security, you feel so much freer Danny is the first relationship I’ve had where I feel truly free Even though we’re in a monogamous, intimate relationship, I don’t feel any part of me feeling like I have to escape. He gives me so much freedom, and in my life and in the kind of world we travel in – we travel all over the world and we meet incredibly interesting people and beautiful – when you have someone who has such deep trust in you and gives you so much freedom, it’s so nice. Like, you never want to do anything to hurt them. It’s really the first time that I felt that kind of security.”
The 44-year-old star – who has Ryder, 19, with Chris, Bingham, 11, with Matt, and Rani, 4, with Danny – thinks her romance with the musician works out so well because he “n’t has no interest in being the center of attention in anything”.
She said: “He never wanted to be a rockstar or a famous painter or writer or actor, he never wanted that spotlight. So I might be on the red carpet and I never had that thing where I had to worry regarding someone else, or I was making sure we did something together or it wasn’t going to cause some friction or insecurity I’ll look around for Danny and he’ll talk to no one anyone, and he’s so happy. There’s something so lovely regarding not having to be with someone who feels insecure when you’re the center of attention.”
