The former presidential candidate, José Anotio Kast, used, as usual, social networks to communicate your resignation from the presidency of the Republican Party where he pointed out that: “The time has come for a new leadership to take over the leadership of the party.”

The former applicant for La Moneda shared a statement where he stated that: “Although I resign as the party’s leadership, I will not set aside my commitment to Chile or the future of the Republican Party“.

“We believe it is essential to start work from now on the new young leaders who will be the generation of replacement in our sector and that territorial work must begin in view of the new municipal, regional and parliamentary elections, “he explained.
