SYRIZA: Polakis is over – Linou is deleted
Athina Linou is deleted. It is noted that an investigation is underway for Mrs. Linou by order of Kasselakis. Athena Linou has been at the center of recent developments in SYRIZA, following Stefanos Kasselakis’ order to investigate the complaints against them, which are related to her NGO.
Her expulsion from the Parliamentary Group is considered a matter of hours. Now, it remains to be seen whether and how the Ethics Committee of SYRIZA will be dealt with. On Friday, 184 members of the party (among them 10 members of the Central Committee) asked the Commission to call Athena Linou “immediately and as a matter of priority”, so that she “can convincingly explain whether or not the complaints against her are true”.
Athina Linou yesterday sent an extrajudicial letter to Pavlos Polakis to retract what he has said from time to time, with the latter clarifying that he is taking nothing back.
