Kasia Smutniak took a fashion risk and proved that she can manage it like no one else. She returned from the premiere of the film “In the Room Next Door” at the Venice Film Festival not on a shield, but with a shield.

In 2019, Giorgio Armani dedicated his spring collection to Bernardo Bertolucci. And if you want to wear creations dedicated to the great Italian filmmaker, you can only do it at the Lido. It was there that the director of “Last Tango in Paris”, “The Conformist” and “The Dreamers” received the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement and chaired the jury twice. The designer sketched silhouettes that were every inch subordinate to the cinematic convention. The catwalk was full of sequins, fringes and voluminous chiffons that the camera would definitely love. The outfits worthy of a big-screen diva were complemented by fancy hats that resembled either wedding hats or wigs. It so happened that one of them perfectly matched Kasia Smutniak’s new hairstyle, who said goodbye to long hair at the end of last year, replacing it with a short cut with tousled fringe. Preparing for the premiere of Pedro Almodovar’s “The Room Next Door,” the Polish-Italian actress and director reached for Armani’s repertoire.

The author of the famous documentary “The Wall” surprised with an original headgear made of hundreds of small beads that fell down to the eyes. You can feel the spirit of the 1920s here, although to give Armani a slight nod in the nose, you could move the associations to the area of Otis from the comedy “Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra”. However, in our opinion, Kasia Smutniak will defend even the most eccentric accessories. The 45-year-old does not have to prove anything to anyone and can freely experiment with her image.

Although the “mushroom hairdo” was definitely the most distinctive element of the evening styling, its other components are also worth noting. Smutniak is known for her love of black and styles borrowed from men’s wardrobe. This time, she also opted for a monochromatic set with a jumpsuit with flared legs and a deep neckline. Two strips of material cut in the shape of ties covered her bare skin. To this, she added pointy shoes, a blazer nonchalantly thrown over her back, and two massive rings. Only that much and as much as that.

It must be admitted that stylist Gloria Ripamonti perfectly captured the actress’s style and additionally highlighted her new tattoo on her back. She deserved a standing ovation.
