It is quite rare in the theater that director and actor meet exactly as equals. In the Viennese Volkstheater, where the Nature Theater of Oklahoma is responsible for a brilliantly scenic folly, the former towers above its counterpart by a head. He says, in a touchingly silly stage English: “I’m always interested in the best idea in the room”. But, and the addition makes all the difference: “in a Hitler style”.
