The congresswoman from Popular Action Karol Paredes ruled on the congressional rejection by denying the opinion that seeks a constitutional reform to advance the general elections to December 2023. In this line, the parliamentarian maintained that she voted once morest the project, despite being in favor of the advancement of the elections, she will only support it “with the necessary reforms.”
During an interview for a local media outlet, Paredes was asked regarding the discontent of the population following Congress voted once morest early elections.
“I can’t speak for the rest, but I do want to go. I voted once morest (the project to advance the elections), but if I have to leave, I leave with my head up and with dignity. We cannot go to the ‘shampoo’ working under pressure by a group of bullies”, argued Paredes in Exitosa.

“I believe that our country and our people need legal and institutional security. If not, it’s going to be more of the same,” she indicated.
