Karol G sings the Colombian anthem at the Copa America final

Miami (USA), Jul 14 (EFE).- Karol G was in charge of singing the Colombian national anthem at the Copa América final between the Colombians and Argentina in Miami (USA).

For his part, Abel Pintos was in charge of singing the Argentine anthem.

Received with a huge ovation, Karol G, smiling and wearing the Colombian national team jersey (with the number 21 of the sanctioned Daniel Muñoz), stepped onto the Hard Rock Stadium pitch at 9:15 p.m., more than an hour later than planned due to the chaotic and disastrous access to the stadium, which gave rise to very dangerous scenes at the entrance to the venue.

The stadium gates were flung open at 8.10pm, allowing both ticket holders and non-ticket holders to enter for a match that was due to start at 8pm.

It just so happens that Feid, Karol G’s partner, was the star of the musical show at the opening match of this tournament.

In addition to Karol G, the Copa América final has another Colombian music star: Shakira, who was chosen for the Super Bowl-style halftime concert.

Before the anthems, the Copa América trophy was brought onto the field. Those in charge of carrying the cup and presenting it to the public were former footballers and Latin American legends such as Claudio Caniggia, Óscar Ruggeri, Iván Ramiro Córdoba and Mario Yepes.
