The terror alert level in Austria might be increased following Hamas’ attack on Israel. Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) explained on Thursday followingnoon that the State Security Intelligence Services Directorate was carrying out a corresponding review.
The terror alert level is currently “increased” and has been since March 2022. The last time it was increased was following the attack on November 2, 2020.
There were recently pro-Palestinian rallies in Austria, which were criticized by all parliamentary parties.
