The EuroAPI Board of Directors terminated the functions of the Director General, Karl Rotthier, as of October 30, 2023. In replacement and on an interim basis, the current President of the Board of Directors, Viviane Monges, was appointed Director General and will combine both functions, pending a lasting solution.
The group’s stock market price fell by more than 50% at the start of October 2023, following the announcement of a downward revision of its sales forecasts for the year 2023 and the suspension of its medium-term forecasts. EuroAPI justified this revision by economic factors, with falling prices for active ingredients and an impact of the biotech financing crisis on the number of subcontracted projects. The group also announced that it was launching a strategic review of its activities, still ongoing, to adapt to these market developments.
New interim general manager, Viviane Monges has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and was notably financial director of Galderma. She was appointed in July 2021 as president of the supervisory board of EuroAPI, which became the board of directors, during the transformation of the group into a public limited company.
At the same time as this change in general management, the EuroAPI board of directors appointed the chair of the nominations and remuneration committee, Elizabeth Bastoni, to the position of lead independent director.
