In an interview given to Indian media, Kareena Kapoor admitted that it was never easy to reinvent herself in the male-dominated industry of Bollywood.

He added, “In the past years, apart from me, other bold actresses have come to Bollywood who have done very well.” Every five years, I ask myself what can I do now?

He said that my aim is not only to be a part of successful films but to leave a legacy behind. I belong to a family (Kapoor), which has strong roots in the industry. Where I have been challenged is because there have been amazing actors for decades, but I also want to leave my mark somewhere. Every 10 years, there is a new juncture where it is difficult to sustain myself, so I prefer different choices. ‘Whether it’s Buckingham murders, Singham, Crewe or John John.
