Balochistan Belonging to Martial arts Khiladi Shahzeb Rind recently won the World Karate Combat Championship in Singapore in a thrilling contest. This is the first time in the history of martial arts that Pakistan has won the world title.
The Karate Combat Interim Title lightweight belt fight in Singapore was between Shahzeb Rind and Brazilian Bruno Aces. After a hard-fought and tough competition between the two, Shahzeb created history by defeating his opponent.
Speaking to Independent Urdu, Shahzeb Rind said: ‘There were a lot of difficulties in the beginning of this game, but by continuing to practice with consistency, success came.’
According to Shahzeb: I became national champion six times. Was a part of Pakistani team in 2014 and won gold medals. I am the first athlete in Pakistan, who brought the country the world title in karate.’
He said that the most difficult phase for any tournament in the sport of karate is weight loss.
‘I weigh 68 kg. In the finals, the players are first weighed and after that the fight begins.’
Shahzeb said: ‘My opponent was the top one fighter in the world. Apart from his time record, his experience was much more than mine but hard work and passion helped me win.’

He said: ‘In the beginning of the game I had some losses, then I thought that I must win not for myself but for the country and the nation. The game ended in the third round and my opponent was knocked out by me for the first time.’
Shahzeb Rind further said that ‘on reaching Quetta from Islamabad, people gave me a lot of respect which was beyond expectations.’
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti welcomed Shahzeb Rind on his visit to Quetta and congratulated him with a hug.

He added that the world title unification fight will be against the Brazilian in December, while a UFC fight is also among his goals.
The tireless work, immense enthusiasm and consistency of Shahzeb Rind, who made Pakistan the world champion in karate, laid the foundation for this success.

Various official and non-official personalities have announced awards for Shahzeb’s success.
Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood has said that Shahzeb Rand is a national hero and he will be invited to the Prime Minister’s House.
Tribal and political figure Sardar Yar Muhammad Rand also announced to give agricultural land to Karate Combat World Champion Shahzeb Rand along with cash reward. Similarly, Chief Minister Balochistan has also announced a cash reward for him.
