Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi face to face today

In the second match of Pakistan Super League Season 8, the teams of Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi will take to the field today to compete against each other.

After the grand opening in Multan, the second match of PSL 8 will be played in Karachi in which Kings and Peshawar Zalmi are competing. Peshawar will lead Zalmi against the team.

Last season was nothing short of a nightmare for the Kings, winning just one out of 10 matches, ending the campaign in bottom position, with the leadership once again in the hands of Imad Wasim, supported by senior players like Shoaib Malik. However, the lack of power batting might be the biggest concern for them this time as well.

Babar is likely to be replaced by James Vince as the opener, due to his limited availability Sharjeel Khan will have to carry the batting responsibility in the powerplay, with Haider Ali and Ben Cutting in the middle order, both PSL. He has a good record but is not in good form before this event, he has to perform better.

Peshawar Zalmi, on the other hand, have high hopes from their new captain Babar Azam, last season Zalmi’s journey ended in the eliminator, the only team to have made at least the playoffs every season so far.

This time, the main players of the last season, Hazratullah Zazai, Haider Ali and Liam Livingston, are not available, but local players Mohammad Haris and Saeem Ayub have been given high hopes.

The biggest concern for the team is the unavailability of important fast bowlers, more dependence will be on 37-year-old Wahab Riaz, off-spinner Mujibur Rahman will be available for limited matches, 18-year-old left-arm spinner Safian Muqim will get a chance to show his skills. can
