Karachi Faiq Salim, a young man from , is running a plantation campaign in different places of the city with his help.

In a conversation with Independent Urdu, Faiq Salim said, ‘I have been engaged in plantation since 2017. I was alone when I took this raft.’
But today thousands of people have joined him in this campaign, after which he has named this group of planters ‘Team Green’.
He says, ‘We choose residential areas and there are big ones The trees They plant plants like neem, shirin and gul mahar etc. while they make fruit orchards in places of open fields i.e. madrasas, universities etc.
Faiq says, ‘Along with planting, we also do plantation awareness work and the biggest responsibility is to take care of these plants.’

Faiq Saleem further said that ‘many people lost their lives in the heat wave of 2015. After which I realized the importance of trees, that trees are the only weapon that can save from heat stroke, so since then I decided to work for the betterment of the environment.
Faiq explains that ‘all the work I have done so far, I have helped myself under you. There is no government sponsorship involved.’
According to him, he has planted more than 12 thousand saplings so far.
A member of Team Green is also Rameez Ahmed, who planted a fig tree named after his daughter.
“Many projects are my responsibility now and I planted a fig tree in the fruit orchard named after my daughter,” Ramiz told Independent Urdu.
‘Now that tree is bearing fruit which is a strange joy to see and after which I have intensified this plantation mission.’
“I think planting is part of our faith,” says Ramez. Everyone should plant a plant in life because when it grows into a fruit tree, your generations will benefit from it.’
